Mustafa - True story of a tiger
Directed by Anushree Shukla
Mustafa is the story of a man-eating tiger in the village of Mustafabad, Pilibhit , India who lost its track back to the jungle and ended up having killed 6 people and injured one. It is the story about Dr. Utkarsh shukla who risked his life saving this tiger because Shukla understands it’s not the tiger's fault. It’s the population density and the habitat loss that cause the tiger to come out of the jungle. This is the story of how tough it is to rescue a man eater with the people waiting for it to be shot. This is an untold story behind rescuing mustafa and many other animals and the obstacles one faces during such adverse situations. My documentary Mustafa- true story of a tiger is based on the rescue of Mustafa from the jungle, showcasing the different hurdles faced due to human-animal conflict. The main aim of this film Is to showcase how the animals are framed for the crime they did not commit.
