Resume
Light for learning in Kenya Two-thirds of primary schools in Sub-Saharan Africa have no access to electricity. That means that children are deprived of two basic rights: energy and education. To us, that's unacceptable. As part of Kenya's school electrification program implemented by its Rural Electrification Authority (REA), Schneider Electric is bringing electricity to 128 rural public primary schools throughout the country. Light. Printers. Internet. Video projector. Learning! See for yourself what an off-grid solar and electrification solution can do to open a world of energy access. The Schneider Electric off-grid solution Schneider Electric Kenya designed a high featured off-grid PV solution. This solution comprises 2PV inverters with solar charge controller. First PV inverter is dedicated to supply energy for lighting application and the second PV inverter is for computer. These 2 PV inverters are supported by Deep Cycle Solar GEL batteries and Solar PV modules.
Objectif
Target group: press, governments, NGOs, CSR analysts, customers The objective: Solving the global energy dilemma is embedded within Schneider Electric's core strategy. In six years, we have contributed to equip 15 million people from the base of the pyramid with energy solutions. Our objective is to reach 50 million in the next 10 years. Access to electricity is not just a technology issue; it is a human one. We believe that access to energy is a basic human right. This video shows how Schneider Electric is closing the energy gap. Our goal is to provide only efficient, sustainable technologies that communities can maintain long after project implementation. To that end, our Access to Energy program actively and collaboratively involves local stakeholders to bring safe, clean electricity to communities.
