Young Creative Awards 2020
For 9 years now, the Deauville Green Awards have been showcasing hundreds of institutional films, spots and documentaries in order to raise awareness of environmental and societal issues.
The Deauville Green Awards are innovating this year with this new competition of the Young Creative Awards.
The festival team is convinced that films are powerful tools for mobilization, and this year wants to honor the young filmmakers and videographers who create them.
This free competition aims to reward the best productions of this new generation, to help them see their work as a vector of change and thus encourage them to widely share and resonate their ecological message.
The Competition Prizes
The festival team will reward the best films of the competition with two prizes:
- the Jury Young Creative Awards, rewarding the best production according to the following criteria: originality of the production, quality of the technical production (image, editing, sound), effectiveness of the message to encourage the audience to take concrete action on environmental issues.
- and the Public Young Creative Awards, voted as its name indicates by the public on social networks. The votes will be symbolized by the reactions "like" and "sharing" and will also take into account the numbers of views since the start of the competition. The film posted with the most "views", "likes" and "sharing" combined will win the Public Prize of the competition.
This first edition of the Young Creative Awards comes in the midst of a global health crisis, which is, in our view, not meaningless. It's time to give a voice to the young generations who are thinking about the world afterwards and encourage them.
Who can participate?
Anyone under the age of 30, having produced a film, after January 1st, 2018, on the ecological stakes of our world.
All films and videos of at least one minute are accepted, as well as all film genres: animation, fiction, documentary etc..
How to participate?
1) Publish a post with the video link of the film on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube with the hashtag #YoungCreativeAwards and tagging @DeauvilleGreenAwards before May 29th!
2) Share the publication widely in your community to make as many people as possible aware of these unavoidable topics!
The announcement of the winners
The winning films will be presented and announced at the 9th edition of the Deauville Green Awards: on June 18th during the online awards ceremony.
The films will thus benefit from high international visibility among key audiovisual professionals: winners of the Deauville Green Awards competitions, broadcasters, the media, environmental experts and the general public.
The trophies will then be sent to the winners by post.
