Focus on water in 2018!
After 2017’s edition of the Deauville Green Awards, in which we hosted a record breaking 370 films and more than 300 industry professionals, the 2018 edition will take place over the 19 & 20 of June in Deauville.
This year the festival’s theme, in connection with the World Water Forum to be hosted in Brasilia in March, is Water and with 400 industry professionals set to participate and 500 films from all over the world in competition addressing issues ranging from sustainable development to eco-innovation, we’ve designed a great programme around it:
> A number of round tables and workshops about water with regards to biodiversity, economic activity and innovation
> Several special screenings for professionals and for the wider public in the Normandy region.
> Key players from : Veolia, World Bank, Bpifrance, the Normandy Region, Surfrider, WWF and a number of start-ups and more
> A number of experts, officials, journalists and renowned scientists, such as Jean Jouzel (Nobel Prize winner 2007 with IPCC)
> A retrospective and analysis from the French Development Agency (AFD) on the World Water Forum alongside screenings of award winning films from Brasilia.
> A carte blanche on oceans granted to our friends from the Cinemare festival in Germany
