Filmmakers or audiovisual students! The festival puts the spotlight on your film projects with a societal or environmental impact.

The principle is simple, you probably know it: directors and students preselected by the festival will speak successively for a few minutes in front of a professional panel of broadcasters or benefactor to present a film project and collect valuable advice or more if affinity.

Several lovely stories have started on these #Film4Change pitch sessions organized for the past 5 years by the festival. For example, the first pitch session in 2018 led to Ushuaïa TV's commitment to the film "Watt the fish", which is committed against electric fishing with the association Bloom by Claire Nouvian. The film will be broadcast in early July 2019 on the channel as a bonus and will be rewarded with a Special Prize at the digital edition of the Deauville Green Awards in 2020.

Or the project "Paris, Ville Nature" which was pitched in Deauville in 2021 by Jérémy Gentais and which Ushuaïa TV has pre-purchased from Seppia for a broadcast in 2022.

Roundtable "How to "well" feed 10 billion people?"
Green Corner - Franciscaines

By 2050, the Earth's resources will have to allow 10 billion people to feed themselves. Ecologically, this situation represents both a perilous challenge and an opportunity to change our eating habits. Currently, the food industry produces 30% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions and uses 70% of our planet's drinking water annually. If consuming less is a first step to slow down pollution, consuming better becomes a central imperative. In addition to a change of mentality, new products and culinary techniques have a predominant role in this change. This contemporary issue and all the difficulties that are specific to it will be discussed during this Grand Round Table with speakers who are not lacking of pungency.

Through the many audiences they attract, through the imagination they spark, through the openness to the singularity and diversity of the world they offer, cinema and audiovisual creation on all forms of screens, large or small, are essential players in the construction of tomorrow's sustainable world.

This is why, in order to highlight the major role of fiction in the emergence of new narratives and in the mobilization of all in favor of sustainable development, the Deauville Green Awards Festival wishes this year, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, to distinguish creative cinematographic and audiovisual films that are meaningful and give a unique view of our world as it is and as it is becoming.

For this reason, on the occasion of this special competition on the 11th edition of the festival, among the hundreds of applications received from all over the French-speaking world, two particularly remarkable films will be presented in Deauville in competition for the Special Prize "Fiction for Tomorrow" and screened in the presence of the directors and the jury of the competition on Thursday, June 16 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

The winner of the prize for the best French-language fiction will be announced by the Ministry of Culture on June 16, 2022 during the 11th Deauville Green Awards ceremony.
